BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Vendor Data Engineer opportunity in Redmond WA

Position Title: Vendor Data Engineer

Location: Fully Remote

Anticipated Start Date: - ASAP

Expected Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Type: Contract and Remote

Pay Range: $35/hr. - $40/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Candidate Requirements

100% remote but needs to be in either PST or EST time zone
* Years of Experience Required: 3-5 if they have experience in the right set of tools if not 3-4 years in data experience
* Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in a computer related field and any certifications around data and computers.
* Disqualifiers: Candidates with lots of different technologies on resume and no data experience will not be qualified for this role.
* Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain previous Microsoft experience.
* Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and timeline

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
SQL experience data processing experience, KQL preferred | 3 years of experience
Data Pipelines with Azure Data Factory | 3 years of experience
Data Visualization| 3 years of experience

Responsibilities:
* Implements complete data architectures, including appropriate data schemas, as well as additional components appropriate to the database design for consuming data from varied data sources.
* Designs and implements automated data flows for extraction, transformation and load
* Optimizes data aggregations while staying compliant to data privacy policies
* Authors robust technical documentation, data schema and real time data telemetry specs
* Builds and maintains moderately complex data visualizations
* Communicates and coordinates with external and internal teams
* May be responsible for developing requirements and drafting high level design documents and selling designs to key stakeholders.

Technical Skills:
* 3-5 years' work-related experience required.
* Must have experience with Microsoft Azure Data Explorer (KQL).
* Must have experience with Microsoft Azure Data Factory.
* Must have experience with building moderately complex data visualizations on real data
* Experience with C# is a plus.
* Strong communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.
* Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment required. Must have the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
* bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
* 3+ years of work-related experience in data engineering, analysis and business intelligence.

Preferred Qualification:
* Experience with gaming
* Experience handling gaming data
* Experience working with Azure data & ETL products.
