Responsibilities:

MTSI is seeking an experienced Network and Security Administrator to support a digital transformation initiative with our AFRL customer in Dayton OH. You will be responsible for assisting in the overall design and implication of a complex multi-security level, multi-domain environment. You will need to map standards for various network appliance, system and server roles to be used across the multiple domains and then implement those standards with little to no assistance. You will install, configure and implement tools for functions such as, firewalls, switches, web-proxies, patching, backups, logging, and scanning. Additionally, you will support application setup and administration, troubleshooting, security administration, access control, and integration between systems. Individuals best suited for this role must be able to work autonomously and possess the ability to find and solve complex problems as well as assist others with solving IT problems they are facing. They should also enjoy problem solving and be able to cope with sudden changes in taskings. Ideally this candidate would possess a wide range of experience with the installation, configuration, and administration of both cloud native and on-premise systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Will be responsible for the continued updates to the network design and configuration of a unique complex enterprise IT solution.
  • Responsible for the design of standards, installation, and implementation of specialized equipment of network and server roles across multiple domains.
  • Responsible for hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Install, configure, manage, and upgrade Cisco and Dell managed switches\\routers.
  • Install, configure, manage, and upgrade Cisco Firewalls.
  • Install, configure, manage, and upgrade forward and reverse proxies.
  • Install, configure, manage, and upgrade vulnerability scanning, log aggregation and monitoring tools.
  • Work with leadership & teammates to develop and/or maintain systems documentation in support of system builds, application installs & other operations procedures.
  • Assist with security audits & work with staff to remediate any & all security findings with supported systems & applications.
  • Assist with configuration & monitoring backups in accordance with applicable regulations, policies & guidance.
  • Work with cross-functional IT Teams to ensure effective execution of services.
  • Provide tiered support for applications and services both cloud and on premise.
  • Act as network administrator and systems administrator for applications and services.
  • Provide verification for pre-install tasking like scoping, sizing, planning, networking, etc. for potential new applications and services.
  • Develop application/service training, as needed, for users.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications:

Required :
  • 10 years of experience, 4 of which should be above the tier 2 (In-Depth Tech Support) level. Experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or Information Assurance/Cyber Security.
  • Must have experience administrating a Secret or higher classification networks.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience administrating DoD networks and knowledge of DOD security posture (RMF, STIGs, etc)
  • Must have a DoD IAT Level II - DoD 8140 (Formally 8570) certifications (i.e., Security+), CISSP or CASP+ preferred.
  • Must have experience configuring, upgrading and managing switches, routers and next generation firewalls.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with application firewalls and reverse proxies preferred.
  • Experience administering Windows and Linux servers preferred.
  • Experience with network monitoring and log aggregation tools preferred.
  • Experience with Solarwinds desired.
  • Experience with F5 web proxies desired.
  • Experience with Tenable.SC desired.
  • Experience with Nutanix AHV desired.
  • Experience with Citrix Universal Hybrid-Multi Cloud (UHMC) Gateways desired.
Clearance:
  • Must have an active Secret clearance and be eligible for a Top-Secret clearance.
