About the Role

We re actively seeking a Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with deep expertise in automation, strong programming knowledge, and hands-on AWS experience. This is an onsite position based in Reston, VA, offering an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge platforms with a high-impact team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design and build robust automation testing frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cucumber

  • Drive end-to-end automated test strategies across API, UI, and backend layers

  • Write scripts in Java, Python, or Shell for testing and automation

  • Work in close collaboration with developers and DevOps engineers for CI/CD integration

  • Leverage AWS services like Lambda, EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift for cloud-native testing solutions

  • Enhance and maintain existing UI platforms (Angular) and test automation systems

  • Proactively identify and triage issues, ensuring high-quality product releases

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on automation testing experience

  • 8 10 years of total QA/SDET experience

  • Strong coding skills in Java, Python, or J2EE

  • Proven experience with AWS services (Lambda, RDS, Redshift, EC2, EMR)

  • Solid experience building test frameworks from scratch

  • Proficiency in Unix shell scripting

  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern DevOps tools like Maven, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef

  • Experience with UI tools like Angular is a plus

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Financial or Mortgage domains

  • Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles

  • Ability to drive innovation in test automation platforms
