Prisma Cloud Platform Security Engineer- hybrid in NYC

Novacoast Staffing is excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic Prisma Cloud Platform Security Engineer. In this role, you'll be the cornerstone of our client's security and compliance initiatives in the Public Cloud. This position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of cloud security who thrives in a HYBRID work environment.

This position will require you to be onsite 2-3 days/ week.

This is a contract position available on W2 only. We're seeking individuals with exceptional Prisma Cloud expertise complemented by a substantial cloud security background. Together, we're ready to navigate the digital security realm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary technical authority in securing and ensuring compliance across various Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and other cloud platforms), collaborating with clients to meet their specific needs.
• Deliver comprehensive technology solutions via consulting projects from identifying problems to deploying solutions while maintaining effective client interactions.
• Strategize and oversee the migration of critical data and applications to the Public Cloud, working closely with clients to ensure seamless transitions.
• Serve as a technical advocate, driving issue resolution to achieve client satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain code/scripts, preferably in Python, in partnership with clients to support their development objectives.
• Engage deeply within Docker and Kubernetes environments, assisting clients in optimizing their containerization and orchestration processes.
• Configure, implement and manage the maintenance of Security Operating Platforms, tailoring solutions to align with client security requirements.

Requirements:

• Solid experience in IT/operations engineering, consulting, or similar roles, with a robust background in Information or Cyber Security.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Prisma Cloud, highlighting a strong foundation in cloud security.
• Proficiency in Python Scripting is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in spearheading security solutions in large-scale environments.
• A comprehensive grasp of vulnerability management and various compliance standards.
• Adeptness with API-based security and compliance standards is highly valued.
• Knowledgeable in cloud networking, network security, virtualization, and cloud computing basics.
• Skillful in additional programming languages such as NodeJS, Ruby, etc., is a plus.
• Understanding of exploits, malware, ransomware, and their defenses.
• Experience in automation and orchestration tools like Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD (Jenkins, Github, etc.) is beneficial.
• Strong consulting skills and confidently presenting solutions to leadership and customers.

Preferred Experience:

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Prisma Cloud: 2+ years (Highly preferred)
• Strong Python scripting skills (Highly preferred)
• API configuration and management: 3+ years (Highly preferred)
• Cloud Security expertise: 3+ years
• Experience with Kubernetes: 3+ years
• Experience with other Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools: (Significant plus)
• Code Security knowledge: (Highly regarded)
• Demonstrated consulting expertise with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging directly with clients (Highly preferred)
