Salary: $50-$120

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Performance and Monitoring Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on key performance metrics across various systems, processes, and programs. The Performance and Monitoring Analyst will ensure optimal system performance, identify trends or issues, and recommend actionable solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.



Key Responsibilities

  1. Performance Monitoring and Analysis
    • Continuously monitor systems, applications, and processes to track performance against established metrics and benchmarks.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas requiring attention or improvement.
    • Use monitoring tools to ensure uptime, reliability, and responsiveness of systems.
  2. Reporting and Insights
    • Develop and deliver detailed reports and dashboards on performance metrics to stakeholders.
    • Provide actionable insights based on performance data to support decision-making.
    • Create visualizations and presentations to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  3. Issue Detection and Troubleshooting
    • Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks or system issues.
    • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues and minimize downtime or disruptions.
    • Document incidents, root causes, and resolutions to improve future response times.
  4. Process Optimization
    • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing monitoring tools and processes.
    • Design and implement new performance metrics and KPIs as needed to align with business goals.
    • Partner with operations and technical teams to optimize workflows and system configurations.
  5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Work closely with IT, operations, and business teams to align monitoring efforts with organizational priorities.
    • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure performance metrics meet stakeholder needs.
    • Provide training and guidance on monitoring tools and best practices.
  6. Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure that all monitoring and reporting activities comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify and report potential risks based on performance data and recommend mitigation strategies.
  7. Continuous Improvement
    • Stay updated with the latest performance monitoring tools and methodologies.
    • Identify opportunities to automate and enhance performance monitoring processes.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of performance monitoring frameworks and standards.

Qualifications

  1. Education and Experience
    • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
    • 2 4 years of experience in performance monitoring, data analysis, or a related role.
  2. Technical Skills
    • Proficiency with performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, SolarWinds, New Relic, or similar platforms.
    • Strong skills in data analysis and visualization using tools like Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
    • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automating monitoring tasks.
    • Familiarity with ITIL principles, SLAs, and other performance management frameworks.
  3. Soft Skills
    • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Preferred
    • Certification in monitoring tools or performance analysis methodologies.
    • Experience with cloud monitoring (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).
    • Understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure performance metrics.
