Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Security Manager in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing leadership and direction to our Security Engineering team, collaborating with various IT areas to deliver secure business technology solutions, and enforcing security standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Taking the lead in the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures
Collaborating with second and third line of defense teams to identify, assess, and remediate security risks effectively and promptly
Providing technical guidance and support for security-related projects while staying updated with the latest security technologies, threats, and industry trends
Acting as a point of escalation for issues relating to security controls or tools
Providing direction, guidance, and leadership to the Security Engineering team, and managing their performance effectively
Conducting regular performance reviews and identifying/detail-oriented development opportunities to team members
Leading agile and scrum practices, such as sprint reviews, refinements, and stand-ups, and planning work with the team utilizing agile frameworks
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Educating employees on information security best practices.
Requirements
Proven experience with Access Control systems and protocols.
Proficiency in Cisco Technologies, including network and security solutions.
Demonstrated knowledge of Firewall Technologies, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).
Familiarity with Active Directory, including user and group management.
Strong skills in auditing, with a focus on information security and compliance.
Understanding of authentication methods and protocols.
Thorough knowledge of Computer Hardware, especially in a network security context.
Experience with Configuration Management, including software, hardware, and network configurations.
Demonstrated leadership development skills, including team management and personnel development.
Extensive knowledge of Cyber Security practices, strategies, and technologies.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including security management and cloud services.
