Job DescriptionAxiado is seeking a highly motivated Hardware Lab Technician to support the San Jose engineering lab, responsibility includes hardware board bring up, assembly and testing of prototypes and test components. Participate in installing, maintaining, and repairing lab systems and equipment. Individuals must be organized and able to follow directions. A team player, yet able to work independently, good communications skills, a positive and can-do attitude and be able to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be working closely with designers and test/validation engineers to deliver world class products.
- Assemble and hardware bring up, including test verification, debugging and rework of boards
- Ability to carry out soldering tasks to install power relay, build and verify boards, cables and adapters
- Install, maintain, repair, calibrate and upgrade lab equipment
- Conducts physical inventory tracking
- Installs, configures test stations, devices under test, monitors and supports users
- Debug and fix hardware testbed issues
- Build cables, connectors and simple board assembly
- Write scripts in C, Python, or Shell to assist HW bringup, including modifying & checking register status
- Minimum of 3 years related experience as a hardware technician
- Knowledge of basic electronics, digital and analog theory is required
- Experience with failure analysis and troubleshooting skills of simple circuitry to component level is required
- Able to perform soldering rework, including fine pitch SMT components
- Experienced with power and hand tools, including drills and wire crimping tools for pins, connectors, lugs, etc
- Skilled in testing and debugging equipment, ability to use oscilloscopes, various meters, and power supplies
- Familiar with Document Control and CAD tools for viewing schematics, BOMs, ECOs etc
- Able to work with Linux, Windows and GSuite or Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat or similar backoffice tools
- Familiarity with Linux command line and knowledge of Shell scripting.
- Ability to develop, review and modify Python, C, and/or Shell scripts to enhance test coverage.
