PURPOSE

The Data Analytics Manager serves as a critical bridge between raw data and strategic insight, with a primary focus on data engineering. This role is responsible for building and maintaining robust data pipelines, integrating and managing data from multiple systems, and ensuring high data quality and availability. In addition to strong engineering capabilities, the role supports data analysis and visualization efforts to help the organization make informed, data-driven decisions.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and integrate data from diverse internal and external systems into centralized data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks);
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all systems through effective data quality frameworks, validation rules, and monitoring;
  • Manage and optimize data warehouse structures and schemas to support analytical use cases and reporting efficiency;
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver clean, accessible datasets for analysis and reporting;
  • Support the development of dashboards, reports, and self-service BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) by provisioning reliable data sources and contributing to visualization design;
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in data architecture, metadata management, and governance to support scalable analytics capabilities across the organization.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Multiple years of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a strong foundation in data architecture, pipeline development, and enterprise data systems;
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools and frameworks across modern data platforms;
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with experience writing complex queries and optimizing performance across large datasets;
  • Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake or Databricks;
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data governance, and designing scalable, well-documented datasets for analytical use;
  • Experience with Python (or other scripting languages) for data transformation, automation, or pipeline orchestration;
  • Experience supporting business intelligence functions, including building dashboards and self-service reporting using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker;
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with business users, analysts, and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles, with a strong foundation in data architecture, pipeline development, and enterprise data systems;
  • 3+ years of experience supporting business intelligence functions, including building dashboards and self-service reporting using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
