Technical landscape:

  • Handful databases 2-3 terabytes of data
  • 200-250 virtual servers 98% windows, some linux
  • Network - support colo and lenexa
  • LDUs scatter across the country, internet, wifi
  • Telephony - call center onsite, moving to webex offsite
  • Cisco shop
Top required skills:
  1. SQL Administration experience - need to have maintained and troubleshooting experience with SQL Databases
  2. Tuning performance of SQL
  3. Development experience or exposure - will work with developers to tune and repair SQL Databases
  4. Understand and create best practices
