We are looking to hire a Solution Architect - Data & AI to join Microsoft Federal.

The Microsoft Federal organization was established to address the unique mission, legal/regulatory requirements, and procurement rules and processes of the United States Government (USG). Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of pre-sales experience with Microsoft technologies.
  • Architectural and implementation experience with the use of current and legacy cloud-based technology capabilities such as Dynamics, Azure and other Data and AI solutions.
  • Experience orchestrating and understanding the interoperability of our Microsoft Data and AI workloads in alignment with other security capabilities within a customer ecosystem.

Other Qualifications

The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Cloud Screening: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of consulting and architecture experience in an Enterprise Environment.
  • Experience selling consulting engagements which includes estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk.
  • Experience with business requirements into technology requirements for inclusion in contracts and/or statements of work.
  • Experience with consulting skills and presenting complex development topics to both business executives and technical personnel.
  • Experience building deep technical relationships with senior executives and helping to build innovative cloud solutions in large or highly strategic accounts.
  • Experience driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • Experience facilitating customer design and awareness sessions that are focused on complex application solution architectures.
  • Experience articulating architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks that may be used by our customers.
  • Experience moving between high level architectural review/design and the "roll up the sleeves" level of providing architectural oversight for delivery projects.
  • Experience leading internal communities and mentor others to enable future growth and success.
  • Experience with Creation/development of intellectual property that can be reused within the community.

Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,800 - $189,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,200 - $199,400 per year.

The Solution Architect helps customer account teams identify, pursue and close strategic business development opportunities while continually driving add-on business within existing projects. To accomplish this, effective fostering of executive level relationships is required.

The Solution Architect role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management.
