Title: Midstream Standards Engineer
Client location : Casper
WY
USA
82609 -Candidate can work on-site at any of the following locations, Casper, Dallas, Artesia, SLC or they can work remote if they are not local to one of those sites.
-40 hr week
-M-F 9a-5pm BASIC FUNCTION:
This position will function in a special assignment to coordinate and drive to completion the review and updating
of the HF Sinclair Midstream (HFSM) suite of Engineering Standards. The suite of standards, referred to as
Logistic Engineering Practices (LEP s) includes Engineering Standards, equipment data sheets, piping
specifications, and drawing standards. The standards are maintained by the Equity Engineering Group (E2G).
The roll is that of Subject Matter Expert (SME) and coordinator of other SME across the HF Sinclair enterprise.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the design, construction, and operation of crude oil
and refined product pipelines and distribution terminals including applicable civil, mechanical, and electrical
codes and standards. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
Applies knowledge of pipeline and terminal design concepts, operating principles, and relevant industry
standards to coordinate the review of LEP s
Applies knowledge of ASME B31.4/B31.4/B31.8, 49 CFR, Part 195 and Part 192, NFP 30, and relevant
API Standards and Recommended Practices to the review and revision of LEP s.
Ensures LEP s are compliant with ASME B31.4/B31.4/B31.8, 49 CFR, Part 195 and Part 192, NFP 30,
and relevant API Standards and Recommended Practices
Applies knowledge of industry best practices to the LEP s
Coordinates review efforts of SME s of various disciplines to the LEP s.
Applies knowledge of civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering and construction practices
Develops work flows and recommends teams to review standards
Is accountable for ensuring the review process is thorough and timely
Is custodian of the review process from initial review to final revision for each LEP May be required to do some or all of the following:
Manage the work of internal and third party SME s
Create and present progress report for HFSM Management
Coordinate, facilitate and document all steps in the review and revision process
Conduct research to ensure LEP s are consistent with the latest addition of applicable codes
Act as a liaison between the HFSM and E2G for the duration of the review and revision process
Other assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to
time in their sole and complete discretion EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of Ten (10)years of progressive work experience in an applicable engineering discipline is required.
Engineering management experience is preferred. A strong understanding of pipeline and distribution terminal
processes and the elements of safe and efficient operation of hazardous liquid and gas pipelines and associated
facilities is required. Experience working in multi-discipline engineering teams is preferred. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Professional Engineer registration is preferred. EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
A minimum of a bachelor s degree in an Engineering discipline is required. REQUIRED SKILLS:
Ability to work in a multi-discipline team is essential. Working knowledge of Engineering standards and practices
is essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to work effectively with
multiple groups throughout the organization is required. Strong interpersonal, time-management and HF Sinclair MidStream

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Engineering management experience is preferred.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be responsible for the supervision of personnel as well as contractors.
