Responsibilities:
- Lead Dynamic Training Sessions: Conduct engaging Classroom Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Mobile Team Training (MTT) for military personnel and civilian equivalents, focusing on systems management, cybersecurity, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of CANES.
- Deliver Expert Instruction: Implement and execute CANES training courses using standardized practices to ensure comprehensive learning experiences for all participants.
- Curriculum Development: Provide subject matter expertise to test and maintain cutting-edge curriculum, ensuring it meets the highest standards.
- Innovative Teaching Methods: Conduct both individualized and classroom/lab training sessions, tackling diverse problems and continuously improving the training environment and curriculum.
- Hands-On Labs: Instruct practical labs that reinforce theoretical knowledge and enhance understanding of CANES system components through real-world troubleshooting scenarios.
- Assessment and Improvement: Administer knowledge tests and remediation practices to ensure mastery of the material.
- Curriculum Review: Provide technical reviews and edits for current and emerging CANES curricula, keeping content relevant and up-to-date.
- Cybersecurity Expertise: Utilize your experience to support the protection, restoration, and integrity of electronic communication systems, ensuring data availability, confidentiality, and nonrepudiation.
Qualifications:
- Navy Shipboard Networks Experience: Hands-on experience with CANES or other TACNET systems.
- Diverse Skill Set: Proficiency in at least three of the following areas: Network Administration, System Administration, Technical Documentation, and Training.
- C4I Networks Expertise: Recognized expert in C4I Networks and System Administration.
- Technical Training: Background in TACNET or other Navy C4I systems Administration and Maintenance.
- Educational Background: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Psychology, or a related training systems discipline.
- Certification Goals: Working towards Navy's Basic Instructor Training certification (NEC 805A or 9502) or holding a current industry-standard trainer certification, such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) or CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+).
- Cybersecurity Qualification: Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified within 12 months.
- Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
- Travel Ready: Ability to travel up to 70%.
