Description
We are in search of a Systems Analyst to join our team in the retail industry, located in New York. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity where you will be focusing on requirement gathering, data validation, and report development and delivery. You will also be required to leverage your skills in Atlassian Jira, Citrix Technologies, Cloud Technologies, IBM, Linux Technologies, AB Testing, Active Directory, Agile Scrum, Backup Technologies, Business Requirement Document, Power BI, and SQL.
Responsibilities:
Gather requirements and analyze the business objectives of stakeholders to cultivate solutions that address their needs.
Collaborate with key stakeholders in defining project phase plans.
Document functional requirements based on input from customers or business partners.
Collect and consolidate data from responsible parties for report generation and dashboard creation.
Write SQL queries to research and understand data structures.
Manage issue escalation and resolution during the data validation phase.
Develop an understanding of the strengths and limitations of various tools and technologies and suggest alternate methods of data presentation.
Leverage reporting tools such as PowerBI, MicroStrategy, and Excel to create reports, and confirm data integrity through thorough testing.
Align on the report delivery strategy and ensure timely delivery.
Support the pilot effort of new reports and dashboards prior to deployment, incorporating feedback into the final version of the deliverable.
Support deployment effort, gather user feedback, and provide user support as needed.
Requirements
Proficiency in Atlassian Jira is essential for managing projects and tracking issues.
Demonstrated experience with Citrix Technologies to support virtualization and networking.
Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of IBM software and hardware products is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Linux Technologies to manage system operations effectively.
Experience in AB Testing to improve system performance and user experience.
Must have a working knowledge of Active Directory for managing network resources.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology to manage work on complex projects.
Experience with Backup Technologies to ensure data safety and recovery.
Ability to create a detailed Business Requirement Document to guide system development.
Proficiency in Power BI for creating analytical reports and data visualizations.
Strong SQL skills for managing data and creating complex queries.
