Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a technically strong Project Manager, Information Assurance ("PM-IA") to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals on our Department of State (DOS) Consular Affairs Enterprise Infrastructure Operations (CAEIO) Program. CAEIO supports the DOS Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA), providing IT Operations and Maintenance to modernize the legacy networks, applications, and databases supporting CA services globally.

The PM-IA combines their technical Information Assurance knowledge and experience with project management acumen to manage a set of IA projects and tasks that improve cyber hygiene and security across various applications, platforms and operating systems.

Responsibilities

Coordinate IA activities, including responses to security findings, within the IA team and across teams (IA, Infrastructure, Engineering, and Applications).
Coordinate efforts of IA analysts and engineers to best use resources and accomplish program goals.
Facilitate resource management and risk management across operations, identifying and preventing resource constraints and analyzing the results of system changes.
Organize, monitor, nurture, and continuously improve relationships and communication with stakeholders (i.e., stakeholder management).
Develop comprehensive, executive-level dashboards that provide essential project information, such as risks, issues, impediments, and projected completion dates.
Develop and maintain the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), Acceptance of Risk (AOR) and other required security documentation processes and procedures.
Review existing governance, risk, and cybersecurity documentation for compliance with the Risk Management Framework (NIST SP 800 53 Rev 4 and NIST SP 800-37) and Security and Privacy Controls.
Develop RMF accreditation packages to help systems achieve and maintain their Authorization to Operate (ATO) certification.
Identify process improvement opportunities; develop and execute process improvement plans.
Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, including project managers, systems engineers, developers, enterprise architects and senior management.
Provide guidance regarding vulnerability and risk analysis within the cybersecurity industry, including current and emerging technologies and methodologies (including cloud security models) .
Core work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Work location: Hybrid: remote AND up to two days per week in the office in Sterling, VA or Washington, DC.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

U.S. citizenship and an active SECRET government security clearance with the ability to obtain TOP SECRET, if needed.
At least 4 years of related Information Assurance Analyst experience - primarily in a federal government environment, dealing with business critical, high availability systems.
At least 2 years of task or project management experience.
At least 1 year of cloud environment experience.
Understanding of networking concepts and cybersecurity related tools to include Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and vulnerability scanners.
Experience collecting and analyzing performance data, developing metrics and presenting to colleagues and managers.

Desired Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Security+ CE or other 8570 IAT level II certification.
Experience with DevSecOps concepts, tools and automation skills.
Familiarity with industry standard host-based security systems (HBSS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS).
Knowledge of various network vulnerability scanning and SEIM platforms (Nessus, Sentinel, Splunk etc.).
Knowledge of A&A processes and authorization boundaries.
Knowledge of current IT security best practices.
Knowledge of system administration, networking, and operating system hardening techniques.
Knowledge of the Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) process
Application security experience - OWASP Top 10.
Education and Experience: Minimum 16 years with HS diploma; Minimum 14 years with AS/AA; Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
