Description

SAIC is seeking a motivated and self-driven Windows Infrastructure Engineer/Administrator to support an essential customer mission area and organization. The position requires someone to work both individually and in a team environment to complete deadline-driven tasks. The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Windows-based systems and networks, providing technical support to users, and ensuring the security and reliability of the infrastructure.

Responsibilities/Functions:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based operating systems, servers and applications
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and network connectivity issues
  • Implement and manage security protocols and firewalls to protect against cyber threats
  • Deploy and manage software updates, patches, and antivirus software
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
  • Create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Provide technical support to end users, which may include HW and SW troubleshooting and resolution
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement new technologies and solutions
  • Ability to flex hours as required to support mission needs and emergency response

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Windows system administration/engineering
  • Minimum of 9 years of overall technical experience
  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI and Poly clearance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Powershell
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V
  • Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VLANs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Industry certifications such as MCSE, MCSA or CompTIA A+
  • Experience with automation for Windows
