Job Summary

Leads a technical project team. Understands the business strategy of client departments and defines the information systems requirements to meet the business requirements. Provides expert functional and technical support for vendor applications and programs in collaboration with the Salesforce Health Cloud Administrator. Collaborates with other department resources to support multiple system interfaces and data integration. Monitors, defines, and reports on critical path workflows. Resolves issues or escalates issues as required. Drives the design and implementation of new business processes within required configuration. Functions as the lead in design, coding, debugging, testing, documentation and implementation of Salesforce Health Cloud including application customizations and integration of other 3rd party vendor-supplied software.

Education & Experience

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field with courses in programming and database systems or equivalent experience
be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
7+ years general application development and support experience
5 years' hands on experience in Salesforce Health Cloud
5 years' experience with a Salesforce DevOps toolset and CI/CD practices
2 years' experience leading technical project teams
Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification
Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification
Experience with JavaScript, Flows, Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOAP, REST
Experience working in an agile environment using Jira or similar solutions
Experience communicating with both technical and business audiences

Preferred:

Aura framework and OmniScript
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical experience working with healthcare systems or in a government contract systems environment
Experience in Salesforce Lightning Web Components and Einstein Analytics

Key Responsibilities

Serves as technical project lead, technical architect, and/or project manager for a team of application developers. Keeps management team informed of project status and significant issues impacting outcomes.
As a technical lead, responsible for creating detailed programming technical tasks, assigning workload, monitoring project progress, performing code review, and validating testing outcomes of application developers. Perform mentoring and oversight in all areas of the development life cycle.
Coordinates the work outcomes of external consultants.
Evaluates, supports and tests vendor-supplied software packages. Determines compatibility with existing systems. Installs and tests vendor upgrades and patches. Provides technical support and troubleshooting.
Responsible for evaluating any impact of system changes on existing modules. Researches the setup and functionality of available software modules. Obtains a solid understanding of business processes/user functions that these modules directly support. Recommends process changes to end-users to promote better utilization of application functionality.
Shares knowledge of how various application modules inter-link and affect one another.

Coordinates the planning, organization and direction of Salesforce modifications related to both current and proposed designs, in collaboration with the Salesforce Health Cloud Administrator.
Investigates and recommends new tools and applications in support of business needs.
Oversees the design of UI and workflows based on business needs.
Analyzes, designs and develops code in support of multiple system interfaces and data integration services. Uses Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems.
Converts logical design into program code. Analyzes, reviews and rewrites programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt program to new requirements in response to business requests. Responsible for complex coding assignments.
Serves as a technical and functional resource to entry level and senior level developers. Provide escalation assistance and oversight for team service tickets, research, resolution and closure.
Coordinates with appropriate departments to ensure that necessary communication is occurring to allow applications to function properly and efficiently. Coordinates the dissemination of information and reports related to application upgrades, fixes and new processes; to include analysis of the changes and the effects on any existing modules.
Develops and coordinates system and program unit/integration test plans. Prepares and/or obtains test data. Conducts program and system testing. Evaluates test results/defect logs and performs necessary code revisions.
Prepares technical reports and instructional manuals as documentation of program development. Maintains current system design documents, and program documentation.
Performs reporting tasks utilizing site standard reporting tools.
Logs, monitors, and manages event calls regarding reported problems.
Participates in regularly scheduled project review/status meetings internally and with client departments.
Work in a team environment using Agile Project Management (Scrum) and Test Driven Development.
Participate in all Scrum activities such as creating user stories, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.
Serves as a technical and functional resource to entry-level developer. Provide escalation assistance for daily trouble ticket resolution.
Documents change control.
Performs on-call support functions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
