REMOTE :: IT Infrastructure Engineer/Architect (HP OneView) || Contract Role
Responsibilities:
1. Onboarding New Devices:
- Develop and implement procedures for onboarding new devices into the existing IT infrastructure.
- Ensure seamless integration and functionality of new devices with the existing systems.
- Engineer Infrastructure Solutions:
- Design and engineer efficient and reliable IT infrastructure solutions based on the organization's needs and requirements, specifically focusing on processes for adjustments to infrastructure at stores. Includes engineering monitoring system and response standards.
- Create implementation documents for technicians to follow in projects to change IT infrastructure in stores.
- Configure HP OneView to monitor hardware (OneView experience is a plus)
- Security Management:
- Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard IT infrastructure, data, and systems.
- Follow Client security standards and practices to enhance the organization's security posture.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Set up monitoring tools to track system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address issues.
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot infrastructure-related problems, and provide technical support to end-users and internal teams.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure IT infrastructure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the IT infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with various teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance for infrastructure-related projects.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to convey technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in IT infrastructure engineering.
- Strong knowledge of network concepts, storage technologies, and virtualization.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and task efficiency.
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE, VCP, or equivalent are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
