Description: Project Engineer (Manager)


C&I is looking to hire a Project Engineer to help with our work on the ground and in the field! This individual will plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor the progress of our work. The Project Engineer is the primary contact for engineering-related issues on the project and is responsible for coordinating engineering efforts with Project Management, Project Controls, Procurement, Construction, and Clients who work on highly technical projects! C&I Engineering is a design and consulting firm operating in the industries of oil & gas, food & beverage, distilled spirits, and renewables.


Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:

  • Coordinates information and design efforts of multi-discipline project teams.
  • Integrate discipline planes into a plan of execution.
  • Interpret construction drawings, technical directions, codes, and design standards.
  • Facilitate various types of project meetings.
  • Create, understand, and coordinate cost estimates and execute engineering schedules.
  • Delegate tasks related to the projects effectively.
  • Leads the organizing, planning, controlling, and monitoring of progress for the engineering efforts on the project.
  • Ensures project procedures for engineering are established, documented, and known to all discipline leads.
  • The Project Engineer Monitors the project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Contacts clients independently to gather information and resolve issues,
  • Identifies work opportunities with existing clients.
  • Ensures company policy and standards are followed on projects.

Minimal Requirements:

  • 4-year engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 10 years of related work experience preparing construction documents in a multi-discipline engineering environment.
  • PE license preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Able to identify opportunities to create/improve relationships with clients and project team members.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills.
  • Must be willing to travel to job sites. This role can require up to 25% travel.
