Designs, develops, and implements nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of a material, component, or system without causing damage. Records, analyzes and reports test results. Writes testing plans and maintains test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop specific calibrations and tests.
- Possess the knowledge for any necessary part preparation before or after testing.
- Possess the knowledge to interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection the results of the test.
- Document the results in accordance with the specification.
- Support and maintain equipment and assure proper function.
- Maintain or develop procedures, policies, and techniques as necessary.
- Train subordinate personnel in the various NDT disciplines and techniques
- Maintain documentation for training and experience hours for all disciplines.
- Vocational or Technical Training Degree.
- State issued Industrial Radiographer Level 3 C ertification in alignment with NAS 410 standards, through education, training, and testing, and perform the required Level 3 requirements.
- 3 or more years of experience or equivelent combination of education and experience.
- Technical expertise . Problem-solving skills. Time management skills. Manual dexterity .
- Required Near Vision Acuity and Color Perception.
