Role Description:

We are seeking a Data Migration Specialist to join our team. Primary duties of the Data Migration Specialist will be completing technical design documentation with client data sources, selecting, translating, and loading data (databases, spreadsheets, etc.) from client data sources into the CoStar Real Estate Manager system and validating the accuracy of data conversions. This role is client facing and a successful team member must be able to communicate effectively and explain complex processes. Other duties include troubleshooting migrated data, resolving technical issues, training customers on the use of the ETL product and updating loaded data in CoStar. The Data Migration Specialist will be expected to work independently and manage multiple critical tasks simultaneously to meet project delivery dates.

Once proficient in the data migration role, the specialist will also be trained to support our SQL development resources in building and updating client integrations using IBM App Connect studio.

Responsibilities:
  • Engages CoStar Real Estate Manager's consulting team and clients to complete data mapping requirements.
  • Articulates processes and client needs.
  • Disseminates relevant information to key stakeholders to navigate and resolve client issues.
  • Builds data queries on client's data and manage load process through CoStar ETL tool.
  • Facilitates and communicates best practices and expectations on processes and standards.
  • Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.
  • 2+ years of experience with relevant consulting experience and involvement with data-related projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and with other departments to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • SQL experience in both creating and maintaining queries, views, and stored procedures in a multi-database environment required.
  • Highly proficient using Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational, written and verbal skills.
  • Proven capacity to effectively interface with customer and internal stakeholders.
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with relational database, data analysis, and data conversions.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving and quality.
  • Passion for improving processes and use of technology to perform tasks more efficiently and at higher standards of quality.
  • Experience in databases (relational/document/etc.) including SQL databases.
  • Experience in creating SQL Server database objects such as tables, views, procedures and functions.
  • Experience with PowerShell and Azure DevOps to enhance migration activities.
  • Experience developing reports using SSRS or other report development software.
