Job Details

Resource 1 has an urgent need for an experienced Sr. Product Manager for a 3+ month contract opportunity. Our client is located in downtown Chicago (River North area) and selected candidate must be able to work onsite 4-5 days per week. The ideal candidate will have strong real-world Product Management experience, particularly in Release Management of new systems. This individual must be comfortable operating at a Director or Sr. Manager level, with the ability to balance strategic leadership and hands-on execution. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to ensure the successful rollout of a critical internal product release.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Release Management for new systems, ensuring a smooth rollout.
  • Work directly with users, stakeholders, and internal teams to support the release process.
  • Provide hands-on training and user support ( white glove treatment) during software rollout and release process, ensuring successful adoption.
  • Take a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving any launch issues.
  • Collaborate with executive, product, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to align product goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all product-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, with a focus on Release Management.
  • Experience at a Director or Senior Manager level, in a hands-on capacity, would be preferred.
  • Experience with the rollout and release management of an internal, home-grown software product.
  • Strong ability to train, support, and guide users through a system launch.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Must be a hardworking, hands-on team player.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) would be a plus.
