We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Administrator to manage and maintain our client's SharePoint environment. The ideal candidate can independently run daily tasks, ensuring optimal performance, providing user support, and maintaining system integrity. This opportunity is with a family-owned civil engineering company based in Wisconsin, which is involved in some of the largest civil construction projects in the Midwest, Mountain Region, and Pacific Northwest. This position is a 6-month contract to start, with the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the SharePoint environment, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance.
- Administer user accounts, set up permissions, and access controls to ensure security and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve user-reported problems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups.
- Provide end-user support and training to enhance SharePoint adoption and usage.
- Manage site collections, lists, libraries, and content.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure integration with other systems and adherence to governance policies.
- Ensure compliance with data retention, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Desing administrative processes and maintain up-to-date system documentation.
Qualifications:
- 5 + years of experience as a SharePoint Administrator managing enterprise-level SharePoint environments or a combination of relevant IT experience.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and/or SharePoint Server (2016/2019).
- Proficiency in managing site permissions, workflows, and content types.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for administrative tasks is a plus.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite and its integration with SharePoint.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to be the sole SharePoint point of contact and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft certifications (Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate) are a plus.
