SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Finalsite is on the lookout for an innovative and driven Senior Product Manager to lead our Content Management System (CMS) product line. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and continuous enhancement of our CMS solutions. Your deep understanding of CMS technologies, coupled with your passion for education, will ensure that our products not only meet but exceed the expectations of educators, administrators, and students, enabling them to create and manage content effortlessly.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strategic Leadership: Craft and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy for Finalsite s CMS, aligning it with the company's broader goals and the specific requirements of the educational sector.

  • Roadmap Oversight: Construct and manage a robust product roadmap for CMS, prioritizing initiatives that deliver value, innovation, and scalability.

  • High-Level Collaboration: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors, ensuring a cohesive and strategic approach to Finalsite s CMS.

  • Advanced Market Insights: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and trend monitoring to position Finalsite as a leader within CMS s for the K-12 space..

  • End-to-End Product Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle for CMS, from conceptualization and development to launch, adoption, and ongoing enhancement.

  • Metrics-Driven Management: Utilize a comprehensive set of metrics to guide product decisions, assess performance, and drive continuous improvement and efficiencies for our CMS. Automation and reduction of human-in-the-loop touchpoints for client deployment and management will be a major focus area for this role.

  • Visionary Leadership: Cultivate a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative thinking, exploring emerging technologies, and identifying new opportunities for growth and differentiation. Lead and mentor other product managers, fostering a high-performance team culture focused on delivering exceptional and highly scalable solutions.

  • Customer Advocacy: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, challenges, and feedback related to Finalsite s CMS, translating them into strategic product initiatives.

  • Technical and Business Acumen: Serve as a thought leader within the K-12 CMS landscape, combining technical expertise with business savvy to advance Finalsite s strategic goals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • 7+ years of product management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.

  • Proven track record in leading product managers, fostering innovation, and driving strategic vision into successful product solutions.

  • Exceptional strategic planning and critical thinking skills, capable of synthesizing market trends, customer insights, and technological advancements into impactful product strategies.

  • Outstanding communication skills, with the proficiency to engage, influence, and align stakeholders at all levels within and outside the organization.

  • In-depth knowledge of software development, API integrations, and the latest industry trends, enabling effective leadership in a technology-driven environment.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to address complex challenges and deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions.

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze data and make data-backed decisions.

  • Passion for education and a commitment to FinalSite's mission.

  • Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.

  • Excellent digital collaboration skills, being able to work across multiple geographic regions and time zones using various internet-based tools.
