Job Description:

BRUNS-PAK is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in the design of mechanical systems for Data Centers and Mission Critical Facilities. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in designing systems such as Cooling Towers, Chillers, Glycol Systems, Air Cooled Systems, In Row Cooling/Rear Door Heat Exchange, and other Mission Critical equipment, incorporating reliability and efficiency into their designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for Data Center Facilities, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with mission-critical requirements.

  • Utilize AutoCAD and potentially Revit for effective design and documentation.

  • Apply diversified knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices to a variety of assignments in related fields.

  • Make informed and independent decisions regarding engineering methods and techniques.

  • Consult with supervisors on critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters, seeking guidance as needed.

  • Develop test procedures and provide support during the commissioning of mechanical systems.

  • Provide engineering solutions that incorporate life cycle cost analysis and energy efficiency considerations.

  • Evaluate existing facilities and systems respective to the as-built conditions which affect the design.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in designing mechanical systems for Data Center Facilities.

  • Strong knowledge of Cooling Towers, Chillers, Glycol Systems, Air Cooled Systems, In Row Cooling/Rear Door Heat Exchange, and other Mission Critical equipment.

  • Ability to integrate reliability and efficiency into mechanical system designs.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply engineering principles to diverse assignments.

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to diverse audiences both orally and in writing.

  • Experience with advanced techniques and the ability to modify and extend theories, precepts, and practices in the field.

  • Capability to develop test procedures and support the commissioning of mechanical systems.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the field of Data Center Facilities.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D design is essential, and experience with Revit design is a plus.

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college required.

  • Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is usually required for this position.

Travel and Work Schedule:

  • Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

  • Travel to project job sites is expected.
