Job Description:
BRUNS-PAK is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in the design of mechanical systems for Data Centers and Mission Critical Facilities. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in designing systems such as Cooling Towers, Chillers, Glycol Systems, Air Cooled Systems, In Row Cooling/Rear Door Heat Exchange, and other Mission Critical equipment, incorporating reliability and efficiency into their designs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical systems for Data Center Facilities, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with mission-critical requirements.
Utilize AutoCAD and potentially Revit for effective design and documentation.
Apply diversified knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices to a variety of assignments in related fields.
Make informed and independent decisions regarding engineering methods and techniques.
Consult with supervisors on critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters, seeking guidance as needed.
Develop test procedures and provide support during the commissioning of mechanical systems.
Provide engineering solutions that incorporate life cycle cost analysis and energy efficiency considerations.
Evaluate existing facilities and systems respective to the as-built conditions which affect the design.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in designing mechanical systems for Data Center Facilities.
Strong knowledge of Cooling Towers, Chillers, Glycol Systems, Air Cooled Systems, In Row Cooling/Rear Door Heat Exchange, and other Mission Critical equipment.
Ability to integrate reliability and efficiency into mechanical system designs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply engineering principles to diverse assignments.
Ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to diverse audiences both orally and in writing.
Experience with advanced techniques and the ability to modify and extend theories, precepts, and practices in the field.
Capability to develop test procedures and support the commissioning of mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the field of Data Center Facilities.
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D design is essential, and experience with Revit design is a plus.
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college required.
Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is usually required for this position.
Travel and Work Schedule:
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
Travel to project job sites is expected.
