Job Summary

Farmers (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Lead DevOps Engineer to contribute to the development design, testing and/or deployment of system functionality. Specific duties include: demonstrate customer needs by interpreting into viable solutions and contribute to the system design; break down features and write and refine user stories; perform broad and detailed impact assessments relating people, processes and/or technology; support business in building a Lean Business case and break epics into features; identify and raise issues and risks with functional design and offer alternative solutions; provide expertise in the solution design and functionality of business applications; execute Test-Driven (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to build in quality; work with the rest of the engineering team to ship code, maintain infrastructure environments, and configurations; leverage best tools for productivity and applications efficiency; implement API health check monitoring; support applications from ideation to production; design and implement automation pipeline; review and validate application technical design of team members; and work within a team of like-minded professionals to plan, deploy, and maintain critical Customer facing business applications. Position requires Parasoft Virtualize Education 1 (aka Virtualize Essential 1) certification. Option to work remotely with required travel to local U.S. offices three times per week, if within 50 miles of remote worksite.

Position requires a Bachelor?s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as Manager, Technical Test Lead, Software Test Engineer, or similar position contributing to the development design, testing and/or deployment of system functionality. Must have 5 years of experience with each of the following: servicing virtualization framework development and virtualizing the services; working with data virtualization framework development and virtualizing data; executing Test-Driven (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) to build in quality; and supporting implementation activities, troubleshooting user/system environmental issues and training. Must also have 4 years of experience working with Jenkins, Ansible, GitHub, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Docker, ROSA and Splunk. Additionally, specific experience must include 1 year with each of the following: participating in the SAFe planning; identifying and raising issues and risks with functional design and offering alternative solutions; providing expertise in the solution design and functionality of business applications; working with the Product Owner to confirm the code and acceptance tests reflect the desired functionality; migrating applications from onprem to cloud using ROSA; and working with automation. Must have Parasoft Virtuaize 1 (aka Virtualize Essential 1) certification. Option to work remotely with required travel to local U.S. offices three times per week, if within 50 miles of remote worksite.
