GRC Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a GRC Analyst in Lake Forest, IL.

Responsibilities:
* GRC Analyst will deliver expert-level support for IT teams on complex technical and compliance matters related to information security
* Champions cybersecurity initiatives across the organization and ensures compliance with internal security policies, standards, and control frameworks
* Offers strategic guidance and mentorship to junior GRC analysts and cross-functional teams addressing risk register items, including escalation when necessary
* Provides oversight and direction on risk audits and assessments, supporting teams with strategic input and issue escalation when needed
* Leads the development, review, and annual maintenance of IT policies to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks
* Manages and coordinates responses to external information security inquiries and requests, including RFPs, contract evaluations, audits, and regulatory reviews
* Contributes to organizational risk management by assessing current IT systems, practices, and security postures to support executive reporting and dashboards; Develops and refines processes for identifying, tracking, mitigating, and resolving security threats
* As a GRC Analyst, you will advise IT and service owners on best practices for secure technical configurations, leveraging frameworks such as NIST CSF
* Works closely with various IT functions to detect, analyze, and resolve high-impact security issues, and to embed improvements into processes, technical controls, or documentation for long-term resilience
* Works with key business units to drive the design, implementation, operation, and remediation activities of industry accepted control frameworks (NIST CSF, COBIT, etc.) in support of established policies, standards, and regulatory requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
