Overview:

Works with Manager-Safety Systems to provide day-to-day security system services. Provides support for investigations with security systems, their policies and installation of new systems. Supports the security systems integration, software updates, maintenance and use with Lenel, Genetec, Report Exec, visitor management (Easy Lobby), panic alarms, infant and child protection (HUGS) and other systems as needed.

Assists Manager-Safety Systems on new projects in existing areas and new construction, security assessments, vendor selection, and technology upgrades. Specialist will work with leadership, PD&C, MTS, facilities, security and their vendors with project management, integration to facilitate project completion.

Specialist assists with the procurement, installation, and maintenance of Access Control Systems and Video Management Systems, as well as the integration of safety and security subsystems, i.e., Mass Notification, Infant and Child Protection, Visitor Management, and Electronic Security Systems for use with new and existing Command Console Display terminals. Develop and maintain Security Systems tools and procedures. Administers processes related to access control to inspect work progress for standards compliance. Respond to and repair any network access-controlled doors as needed and coordinate all efforts of the access control installation process. Troubleshoot and implement the most appropriate repair or replacement action. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Associate's degree in computer science or information technology related field should be obtained within the first three years in the position.Licensure: None.Experience: 2 years of IT, computer science, or security systems experience in a large, enterprise environment.Certification/Registration: Must be willing to obtain the following certifications: Genetec Security Center Level I/II, Lenel OnGuard System Certified Programmer, HUGS Technician certification, Taser certification.Other Skills & Knowledge (skills, knowledge, abilities): Must have a working knowledge of the basic fundamentals of Information Technologies. Must have working knowledge of low voltage systems. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb, stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run.Strong customer service orientation. Self-motivated and ability to learn quickly. Excellent oral and written communication. Strong analytical, problem identification/solving skills.Abilityto travel 10% of the time.
