Job Details
Role : VDI Solution Engineer
Location : Plano, TX || Columbus, OH
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and implement scalable VDI solutions tailored to meet business requirements.
- Configure, deploy, and optimize virtual desktop solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for VDI environments.
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and resolve incidents efficiently.
- Ensure VDI systems adhere to corporate security policies and compliance requirements.
- Implement security measures such as multifactor authentication (MFA) and encryption.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT infrastructure, application support, and network engineering.
- Act as a technical advisor to stakeholders on VDI best practices.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system designs, standard operating procedures, and user guides.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in VDI technology and recommend enhancements to existing systems.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience working with VDI technologies such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Expertise in virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in managing VDI tools, including provisioning, image management, and resource allocation.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPNs, VLANs, firewalls) and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server.
- Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering quality solutions.
Preferred Certifications
- VMware Certified Professional Desktop and Mobility (VCP-DTM)
- Citrix Certified Associate Virtualization (CCA-V)
- Microsoft Azure Administrator or Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
