In Data, we are responsible for delivering this data, news, and analytics through innovative technology - quickly and accurately. We apply problem-solving skills to identify workflow efficiencies, and we implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products, and processes.
The Content Acquisition (CA) team is an integral part of the Data department. We are responsible for managing, acquiring, and integrating content and data from exchanges, brokers, sell-side, buy-side, and other types of providers to drive the value of the Bloomberg Terminal and downstream enterprise products. We lead the governance, cost, and quality of the data we acquire, and we collaborate with the wider company to develop our data acquisition strategies ensuring we are aligning with the agendas of our key partners.
Within CA, our Data Rights and Entitlements team are responsible for making it easy and desirable for our content partners to trust Bloomberg with their content with robust data access controls. Ensure data compliance awareness across Bloomberg. Provide our customers with the widest possible access & insight to 3rd party content.
The Data Rights team operates under 3 strategic pillars; scalable access controls, monitoring and awareness and increasing entitlements & visibility. We are looking to hire a Product Manager to lead our monitoring and awareness strategy.
The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Data Rights team to lead our monitoring and awareness strategy.
As a Product Manager, you will understand the needs of our content partners, internal collaborators and drive the vision and strategy to continue to monitor and understand our content partners, so we can continue to build strategic partnerships to improve the value of our content across Bloomberg. You will work with engineering teams, as well as partners across CA, Data, and Core Product to identify and solve problems in a scalable way. You will play a vital role in supporting our partners across Bloomberg and aligning your strategy with the needs of the company.

Salary Range = 00 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

We'll trust you to:
- Clearly articulate the product vision, strategy, and execution plan to our internal partners
- Be a self-starter, with the vision and know-how to leverage technology to create meaningful and efficient solutions for our clients with the focus on outcomes
- Manage and validate collaborator requests for new products and improvements, gathering requirements, and ensuring scalability of the solutions
- Experiment to validate hypotheses and regularly present mock-ups and product vision documents to drive consensus around potential investments
- Work alongside CA and Product, Data, and Engineering partners including engineering teams to define, scope, and help solve sophisticated problems in an Agile environment
- Effectively manage product specification, prioritization, and backlog
- Build positive relationships with your engineers and empower them to solve problems for our clients
- Manage multiple projects at the same time and be able to shift priorities quickly when needed
You'll need to have:
- 3+ years of experience in a Product Management role (i.e. responsible for the roadmap of an engineering team)
- Strong technical proficiency, ability to understand and explain the design of various data pipelines and offer alternatives
- Ability to define compelling product vision, metrics, and objectives and key results
- Curiosity, desire to dig deep and a bias for action
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with emphasis on influencing collaborators and completing projects
- Acute problem-solving and analytical abilities including various product discovery techniques
- Comfort working with ambiguity and bringing transparency to unclear situations
- Ability to travel frequently and work with partners across all regions
