Job Details

As Tesla continues to vertically integrate our operations, Tesla's Infrastructure group is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to work on a critical challenge facing the world's energy transition - expanding production of cathode materials and cathode raw material refining systems.
As a Software Engineer, you will work closely with the Engineering and Construction teams to deploy novel software solutions to optimize the execution and quality of major capital projects from concept through design, install, integration, ramp, and handover to the operations team.

Responsibilities
  • Own the cross-tool data infrastructure between engineering disciplines and construction
  • Create novel methods for executing engineering designs whether in the production of drawings, analysis of designs, or automation of workflows
  • Develop intuitive front-end environments for displaying key project data points around project health, data integrity, and progress
  • Deploy and train teams on use cases for applications
  • Execute code to Tesla standards for dissemenation and use outside of the Infrastructure team

Requirements
  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong Python proficiency
  • Experience creating React, Next.js, etc. frontend websites from start to finish
  • Experience designing full-stack applications and services, especially with SQL backend databases
  • Versed in software fundamentals including software design, abstraction, and maintainability
  • Familiarity with Git, continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, virtualization such as Docker
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate technical concepts to those in non-software roles
