Summary of Position:

As a Senior Civil Project Manager, supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for managing a variety of Civil Engineering projects from conception to completion. You will apply your experience to all aspects of the project including, but not limited to; field observation, due diligence research with authorities, site layout design, utility, and stormwater design techniques, and permitting, along with responses to inquiries during construction administration. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural Engineering departments for development of the construction documents. Duties will also include communication with Client(s) throughout the life of the projects. You will be responsible for assigning tasks to team members, checking task progress, and ensuring that each project is completed on time and to the highest standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects with multiple clients simultaneously, while ensuring that timelines are met and communicated.
  • Manage the financial performance for projects including profit and efficiency evaluations and managing accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
  • Manage project plans including allocating resources, preparing and monitoring project budgets, and scheduling within project parameters.
  • Identify design criteria and oversee an efficient design and plan preparation.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines and external project team.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor Project Engineers and Project Designers.
  • Responsible for fostering continued client relationships and looking for avenues of growth with those clients.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of constructability and complex design and identify liability issues related to design and construction.
  • Able to provide risk assessment on projects, estimate potential risks along with costs and probabilities.


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Civil Engineering Project Management experience, preferably with commercial projects
  • Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • P.E. preferred, but not required
  • Must have AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • HydroCAD, Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, and other design software a plus


Team:

You will work with a team of Design Engineers, Professional Engineers and Project Managers. You will report to the Director of Civil Engineering


Work Location:

This is a hybrid role based out of our Burlington, MA office.
