Desktop Support Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting computer systems, peripherals, and software applications. You’ll be the go-to person for resolving technical issues, responding to support requests with efficiency and detail, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
What You'll Do:
- Provide hands-on and remote technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and update desktop software, including operating systems and a variety of industry-specific applications.
- Image and deploy new workstations, ensuring proper setup and connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and support video conferencing, printer issues, and other essential office technologies.
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation for common issues and procedures.
- Train end-users on computer systems, email, and communication tools.
- Prioritize and manage support requests effectively to meet service level agreements.
What You'll Bring:
- A solid understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- Experience with Active Directory and VPN connectivity.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting a wide range of hardware and software issues.
- Hands-on experience with PC imaging and deployment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ideally, 1+ years of experience in an Information Technology support role.
- Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Bentley products is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (ITIL, A+, MCP) are also a plus.
