What You'll Do
The Senior Manager of Information Security Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the global information security team, ensuring the protection of the organization's information assets, and maintaining a robust security posture. This role involves managing security operations, incident response, and threat intelligence. The Senior Manager will work closely with other departments to implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.

Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership and Management:
  • Lead and manage the global Information Security Operations team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the security operations function.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.
Security Operations:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP)s.
  • Ensure the effective monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents and threats.
  • Manage security tools and technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, endpoint protection, and supporting solutions.
Incident Response:
  • Develop and maintain the incident response plan and procedures.
  • Lead the response to security incidents, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Conduct post-incident analysis and reporting to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Policy and Compliance:
  • Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with IT, product development, and other departments to integrate security into the development lifecycle and operational processes.
  • Communicate security risks and incidents to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees.
Budget and Resource Management:
  • Support the VP of Cybersecurity operations with the budget for the Information Security Operations team.
  • Ensure the efficient allocation of resources to meet security objectives.
What You May Need to be Successful:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A Master s degree is preferred.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in information security, with a focus on security operations.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within a security operations environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with incident response.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Note: this role is fully remote, but may require occasional travel, as well as availability to respond to in-scope incidents outside of regular business hours as/when needed.
