Title: Cloud Azure Architect

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Terms: Long Term Contract

Job Details:

Cloud Solution Design:

o Assess the current Azure environment to identify strengths, weaknesses, and

opportunities for improvement.

o Provide detailed analysis and recommendations on design, complex integrations,

and data flows.

o Collaborate with Cloud, Application, and Infrastructure teams to drive cloud

strategies, define cloud requirements, and architect Azure-based solutions.

o Develop comprehensive design documentation to guide implementation and

future enhancements.

Azure Services Implementation:

o Configure, deploy, and manage a variety of Azure services, including Virtual

Machines, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service

(AKS), and more.

o Design and implement secure, scalable, and reliable Azure cloud solutions,

incorporating Azure Arc-based edge computing.

o Develop and maintain Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Terraform

scripts for infrastructure as code deployments.

o Create and manage cloud landing zones to support large-scale cloud migrations.

o Handle complex migration and implementation tasks on the Azure cloud platform.

Security and Compliance:

o Ensure Azure environments meet industry standards and best practices for

security and compliance.

o Implement robust security measures, identity, and access management (IAM)

protocols, and data protection controls to safeguard cloud resources.

Scalability and Performance:

o Optimize Azure solutions for maximum performance, scalability, and cost-

efficiency.

o Implement auto-scaling and resource management strategies to ensure efficient

resource utilization.

Monitoring and Management:

o Validate and analyze monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively

identify and address issues.

o Utilize tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and integrate with

Dynatrace for comprehensive system management.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:

o Design and implement robust disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure

high availability and business continuity.

Documentation:

o Create detailed documentation for architecture, configurations, and processes,

ensuring it is accessible and useful for internal teams and the Cloud team.

Training and Mentoring:

o Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning

and improvement.

FinOps:

o Assess and manage Azure cloud optimization and FinOps activities to ensure

efficient and cost-effective use of cloud resources.

Vendor Partnering:

o Collaborate closely with Microsoft and the Client Cloud team to implement

solutions and leverage vendor expertise effectively.
