Business Analyst, Human Resources/Payroll. Sr

Job Contributions and Key Responsibilities:
1. First Tier Support:
- Provide ongoing support for business partners regarding system functionality, maintenance, and enhancement requests.
- Identify, create, and implement process design changes through complex business and system analysis.
- Collaborate with developers to implement custom requirements and integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve urgent issues, including break/fix situations.
- Work with stakeholders to resolve issues and keep senior business stakeholders and audit resources informed.
- Manage upgrades, patches, testing, and conversions, ensuring accurate functionality and efficient user experience.
- Support the end-user community by providing training and responding to inquiries regarding system functionality.
- Assist HR, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate and timely employee processes, payments, and benefit-related actions.
- Address compliance issues and recommend corrective solutions.
- Partner with offshore services on HRIS, Payroll & Benefits activities.
2. Projects and Initiatives:
- Develop project plans, including requirements, estimates, and timelines for assigned initiatives.
- Support enterprise applications by maintaining and modifying systems to meet organizational needs.
- Represent IS on functional project teams, collaborating with technical resources for system solutions and testing.
- Lead and manage end-to-end business process design and implementation for systems that optimally support business needs.
- Elicit, document, and negotiate business and system requirements, managing stakeholder expectations.
- Oversee project delivery, manage scope, and ensure milestones are met.
3. Application Management:
- Enhance, implement, and troubleshoot payroll processes in coordination with Oracle Payroll products, HR, and employees.
- Verify payroll information, monitor leave balances, and maintain accurate records of earnings and deductions.
- Research and analyze process improvements, proposing solutions for optimization and policy changes.
- Manage, maintain, and support Oracle EBS or Oracle Cloud modules.
- Assist with process mapping and functional analysis at high complexity.
- Coordinate timekeeping, HR, payroll, and benefit systems, ensuring integration accuracy.
- Implement solutions for improved efficiency and minimal disruption during system upgrades or changes.
- Design and manage business reporting, ad-hoc requests, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in Oracle EBS and Cloud HCM production support, including setup, testing, and implementation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expertise in HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and Talent Management fundamentals and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with enterprise platforms such as Oracle ERP, Oracle Cloud HCM, and Oracle Integrator Cloud.
- Strong project management and leadership skills, particularly in HCM, Payroll, and Cloud-based solutions.
- Clear and effective communication skills (both verbal and written); fluency in English required, Spanish a plus.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to change, and maintain confidentiality.
- Strategic and tactical thinking with experience in complex systems, issue resolution, and process improvement.
- Experience with SQL, reporting tools, and system integrations.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 6-8 years of experience with Oracle EBS Payroll, HR, and Benefits modules or equivalent. Exposure to Oracle E-Business Suite (Release 12.1 or later) or Oracle Cloud applications is highly preferred.
This position requires the ability to influence HR leadership, manage complex projects, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external teams. A proactive, self-directed approach to work and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is essential.
