Description

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in Provo, Utah. This role involves managing and maintaining a range of systems, ensuring optimal performance and security. The Systems Administrator will also play a key role in incident response and security coordination, working closely with other team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the administration and maintenance of various systems such as servers, storage, databases, and cloud infrastructure
Collaborate with administrators, engineers, analysts, and partners to ensure security configurations align with industry standards
Participate in the incident response team, promptly responding to and resolving service and security incidents
Administer system updates and security patches to mitigate vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with security best practices
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring only authorized individuals have access to sensitive resources
Monitor system metrics and logs, investigating anomalies and engaging security resources as necessary
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incidents, and generate reports as needed
Provide training and support to staff on system operation and protection
Work closely with key stakeholders within IT and other departments to understand requirements.
