Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is looking for an Application Dynamics Subject Matter Expert to provide hands-on work with Application Dynamics. Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for implementing Application Dynamic as an application monitoring solution for the client. Additionally, after roll-out, work with the application owners to identify any specific reporting for various applications.

Responsibilities

The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. Duties include:

  • Plan, design, implement, install, integrate, and sustain support of AppDynamics application performance monitoring.
  • Sustainment processes, operations, and analysis of the AppDynamics software.
  • Application monitoring integration:
    • Sustainment, integration, deployment, and production support of monitoring capabilities.
    • Help Desk, hosting support and incident resolution related to AppD tools and integration.
    • IA/RMF support as needed throughout.
    • QA/Testing of AppD tools.
    • Analysis and support services.
    • Mentoring/knowledge transfer.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance. Complete software and hardware updates/upgrades. Hardware support to include hardware refresh and network configurations.
  • Responsible for system security hardening per DoD Security and Technical Implementation Guidelines and providing required security documentation.
  • Provide STIG guidance and assist in configuring computer and network devices.
  • Supports IAVA patching requirements for servers and systems under management.
  • Develop and maintain system/application documentation, to include Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assists with weekly and monthly reporting on administration and maintenance activities.
  • Conduct daily checks of assigned servers.
  • Perform weekly maintenance of servers to include, daily, weekly, and incremental backups (snapshots).
  • Provide weekly data audit/reconciliation and reporting.
  • Perform upgrades to server operating systems and applications.
  • Recommend change through data analysis.
  • Knowledge transfer to organic personnel.
Qualifications

Other Skills/Qualifications:

  • In-depth performance monitoring of system(s).
  • Must excel at system documentation, to include in-depth system configuration, topology, and development of standard operating procedures.
  • Self-Motivated and Self-Monitoring, Exceptional Oral and Written Communications, Technical Communication, Problem Solving, and ability for multi-tasking.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical major from an accredited institution as well as a minimum of (3) four years of relevant professional experience. Equivalent years of related work or military experience in lieu of degree will also be considered.

Certification: IAT II (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP) required for this position.

Clearance Requirements: Must be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass. Must be able to obtain a favorable National Security Agency Check (NACI) including a FBI fingerprint check. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000.00 to $135,000.00 (annualized USD). The good faith salary range displayed represents the position at time of posting and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
