POSITION AVAILABLE
Database Administrator, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US: Conduct day to day continuous administration of databases like relational databases including Oracle 19c, Oracle 18c, NoSQL databases, Mongo database, Redis database and middleware product like Oracle WebLogic. Administer Oracle utility and application framework and billing solution Oracle customer care and billing. Install upgrade and patch production Oracle databases. Install, upgrade, patch Oracle utility application framework products. Conduct performance tuning of high scale databases and clustered applications, fixing the issues reported in systems within the service level agreement as required. Utilize at least eight (8) of the following 15 tools/skills: Oracle customer care and billing product, Oracle database administration, Oracle utility framework, Unix Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, SQL, Java, Python, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Data Guard, Automation, Agile, DevOps concepts, and Cloud administration. Required: Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Masters degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Database Administrator or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing at least eight (8) of the following 15 tools/skills: Oracle customer care and billing product, Oracle database administration, Oracle utility framework, Unix Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, SQL, Java, Python, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Data Guard, Automation, Agile, DevOps concepts, and Cloud administration. $143,686 to $188,200 per year.
