Job Details
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct and oversee all plant operations, maintenance, and production objectives at the Hahnville site.
Develop and manage performance goals for all employees, including conducting reviews, setting objectives, and creating career development plans.
Foster a culture of teamwork and innovation through coaching and leadership development.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and drive quality control initiatives to maintain product standards.
Develop and implement cost control and efficiency strategies for plant operations.
Collaborate with the Lab Manager to ensure quality control, analysis, and operational alignment.
Analyze production trends, manage chemical inventory
Collaborate with Human Resources team to oversee recruitment and retention of staff.
Maintain plant facilities and equipment, ensuring reliability and optimal functionality.
Assist the CEO in global coordination of manufacturing plants, aligning processes, and goals across locations.
Provide operational oversight to plant managers in foreign locations as needed.
Present capital requests and report production performance to the CEO.
Resolve operational issues by working closely with the management team and other departments.
Establish and maintain policies for plant cleanliness and safety.
Lead planning and scheduling of maintenance and project implementation.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 10 years of experience in plant management with PSM, RMP, and OSHA compliance expertise.
Proven leadership experience managing large teams and budgets in a high-performing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on risk mitigation and operational improvement.
Experience in petrochemicals, plastics additives, or plastic compounding is preferred.
Familiarity with process automation, six sigma, or lean methodologies is a plus.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
Business acumen and a global perspective on manufacturing operations.
Fluency in English; additional language skills are an asset.
