Title:

External Communications and Public Outreach Lead

KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented External Communications and Public Outreach to join our team in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities Include:

Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI with a Poly is required

  • Provide content for the IARPA website applications, including its social media application.
  • Coordinate Government approval of content.
  • Coordinate and manage daily content updates to the IARPA websites (Unclassified and Classified) and social media applications as required and approved by the IARPA Director (or designee).
  • Develop new media, graphics, and recordings.
  • Create/coordinate IARPA Director and Senior Leadership with outreach packages to include itinerary development, read-ahead material preparation and post-visit review and update.
  • Provide expert support in coordinating events and executive visits with senior Government, Industry, and Academic officials.
  • Develop professional and executive review public relations materials documents, and packages.
  • Support IARPA Leadership in partner analysis for potential visit sites and would be beneficial to IARPA's research mission.
  • Maintain IARPA Senior Leadership Outreach Visit Management and Tracking spreadsheet; record of date, location, and attendees of each visited location or speaking engagement.
  • Revise and maintain bimonthly IARPA's core news reporters list.
  • Coordinate pre-publication and security reviews for all media content.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience managing media relations and content, 3+ years in the IC
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration (or similar field)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communications strategies and plans
  • Demonstrated experience setting and tracking metrics for success for communications plans
  • Experience developing high-end visual communications and multimedia products that enhance the clients' brand
  • Experience writing social media and website content based on client messaging themes


Desired

  • 10+ years of experience managing media relations and content knowledge of website content management systems
  • Proficient using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programs to create visually appealing communications and multimedia products
  • Experience in script writing
