Job Title: Oracle PL/SQL Data Modelling

Work Location: Tampa,Florida

Job Description:

  1. Data Modeling:
    • Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models.
    • Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
    • Ensure data models adhere to data governance and quality standards.
    • Analyze business requirements and translate them into data models and schema designs.
  2. Oracle PL/SQL Development:
    • Develop and optimize PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
    • Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.
  3. Performance Tuning and Optimization:
    • Perform database performance tuning and query optimization to enhance system performance.
    • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and other issues affecting database performance.
    • Work closely with application developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements.
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues.
    • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Document data models, database designs, and development processes.
    • Create reports and dashboards as needed to support business decision-making.
    • Maintain up-to-date documentation for ongoing and future reference.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
    • Strong experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, Oracle Data Modeler).
    • Proven track record in database performance tuning and optimization.
    • Familiarity with database management and data warehousing concepts.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with other database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Knowledge of data integration and ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based databases and technologies.
