Job Details
Piper Companies is seeking an M365 Systems Engineer for contract opportunity with the potential to convert to a full-time opportunity in the future. This is a hybrid role, located in Philadelphia, PA (2 days/week on-site). The Systems Engineer is responsible for engineering and administering all Azure, M365, and Windows Operating System technologies, services, and components.

Responsibilities of the M365 Systems Engineer:
- Design, develop, improve, and manage computer systems and Microsoft services
- Oversee all changes related to Microsoft technologies.
- Ensure secure identity management and data protection.
- Collaborate with software and hardware vendors and service providers.
- Maintain and support all Microsoft technology components.
- Train IT staff and recommend improvements to SOPs and work instructions.
- Handle incidents and problems within SLA guidelines.
- Communicate updates on technology implementations and Tier 2 issues clearly and concisely.
Qualifications for the M365 Systems Engineer:
- Expertise in Active Directory, Azure, Entra Identity Management, M365, and InTune.
- Extensive experience with Windows OS and DropSuite.
- Strong grasp of desktop, mobile, and web application architectures.
- Proficient in WAN, LAN, and SAN technologies, Bash and PowerShell.
- Experience with Mac and Linux operating systems.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes.
- 8+ years of experience in IT with a heavy emphasis on IT infrastructure.
- 2+ years of experience in AD, Azure, M365, and InTune system engineering.
- Preferred: MCSE, ITIL, or similar certification.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Compensation for the Systems Engineer:
- Hourly Rate : $70-$80 per hour depending on experience
