Job Details
Duration: 6-month contract, can extend but no plans to convert for now
Location: McLean, VA Hybrid
Open to H1b, and USC
Vetting Questions:
a. What are the various AWS core services you have used?
b. Did you work in an operational support model; If yes, what kind of support have you done?
c. Have you done any automation while doing operational support? Explain the automation you did and why you did it?
Additional Notes:
- On call rotation, for one week every two months they would be on call for one week either 6am-3 PM or 3pm-11 AM
- This team supports goldfield operations, migrating operations onto AWS using modern delivery tools and pipeline. They are the platform owners, so any application in pipeline that are getting deployed are handled by this team, and they handle any issues
- Main ask is AWS support and EKS/Kubernetes. Also, looking for experts in Jenkins and Atlassian suites.
- This is an operational support role (no development work for now, but could be in the future), so need to have good soft skills and customer servicing skills.
Must Have skills:
- AWS EC2, S3
- Kubernetes
- Jenkins
- Atlassian suite
- Knowledge of FFIP/DataSync is more of a nice to have
- Must have experience providing operational support in customer facing roles
Nice to have:
- Experience in ETL tools like Snowflake, Dremio, Talend, Attunity is good to have
- Experience with Python, Ansible and shell scripting to automate routine operation tasks.
- Prior FinTech/Mortgage exp
