Data Integration Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Integration Engineer to join our exist project team on a 5 year State of California project. This role is key to developing and implementing integration solutions to support data exchange between disparate systems, ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of data transfers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data integration, ETL processes, and system architecture and will be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions, including ETL processes, to facilitate the transfer of data between systems and platforms.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that data integration solutions meet both technical and business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and understand data integration requirements, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
• Develop and maintain data integration standards and protocols, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Perform data validation, profiling, and quality checks to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data being integrated.
• Utilize tools such as Informatica, SQL, and ETL platforms for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Create detailed technical documentation for integration processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and effective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, providing timely solutions to prevent disruptions to business operations.
• Provide ongoing support for integration processes post-deployment, ensuring that systems remain operational and efficient.
• This classification requires the possession of a bachelor s degree. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in data integration and data engineering, including ETL development and implementation.
• Strong proficiency with data integration tools, including Informatica, SQL, and ETL platforms.
• 5+ years of experience working on large-scale government or enterprise data integration projects.
• Expertise in data profiling, quality assurance, and data validation.
• Solid experience in data mapping, system architecture, and data exchange protocols.
• Ability to document technical processes and produce clear technical documentation for integration workflows.
• 5+ years of experience in ITIL practices, supporting data integration processes in complex, multi-system environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to lead integration projects.
