Job Details

The ITS Director of Product Management will be responsible for building and leading a talented, business-minded team of product management professionals, who will drive the vision, definition, and delivery of all ITS compliance software products. This role will shape the ITS product roadmap, ensuring it is balanced and enables forward progress across strategic objectives, client deliverables, and other critical initiatives. This role must collaborate effectively across ITS departments to define, implement, and support processes that help ensure the on-time delivery of quality products and effective product releases and must thrive at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution.  This is a remote working arrangement with only occasional on-site office visits required.  The role would require in-office presence for the first week of onboarding, and up to 1 week/year for strategic planning.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy, Planning and Lifecycle Management

  • Define, implement, and run a comprehensive Voice of Customer (VoC) program that ensures ongoing, regular capture and processing of market input from across a variety of sources
  • Ensure product managers are effectively conducting market research and competitive analysis and processing VoC findings to address client needs, identify unmet market needs, and drive product innovation
  • Develop a strong understanding of the ITS market, clients, and competitors that helps inform a differentiated product strategy
  • Lead the development of a product roadmap that addresses both short/mid-term objectives and long-term growth plans
  • Drive stakeholder engagement to establish buy-in for strategic priorities, communicate status updates, risks, and progress
  • Drive a culture of product decisioning that is based on data, market, and financial impacts
  • Define and implement processes to gather and analyze product performance and operational metrics
  • Champion data-driven decision making, integrate insights into the product lifecycle, and balance analytics with intuition

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with executive team and other key internal stakeholders to develop a market-led, strategic roadmap and to establish an ongoing stakeholder roadmap review and communications process
  • Collaborate with ITS Software Development team to define, implement, and support processes that enable high roadmap confidence, streamline product development, and help ensure the on-time delivery of high-quality products that are aligned with market needs
  • Collaborate with ITS Customer Service to develop, implement, and support product release processes that enable effective customer communications and support preparedness
  • Collaborate with ITS Marketing/Product Marketing to ensure alignment on product roadmap and release schedule to support feature/product launches and promotion, as well as sales enablement activities

Team Leadership

  • Develop from the ground-up a team of high-quality, experienced product management professionals, capable of successfully leading the vision and execution for their assigned product area
  • Effectively manage remote team members, ensuring they are engaged and effective in their roles
  • Oversee and ensure the quality and consistency of key product management deliverables, such as user stories, release notes, etc.
  • Set and effectively communicate the broader product vision and roadmap and ensure team s efforts are aligned with it
  • Support a team culture of innovation, collaboration, respect, partnership, and accountability and foster professional growth
  • Become an internal and external ITS product evangelist

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, product management, marketing, engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years in B2B software product management (regulatory compliance software experience a strong plus).
  • Experience with product pricing a strong plus
  • Experience developing and driving a multi-faceted product roadmap, including using industry-standard product planning and road mapping software
