The Sr IT Data Analyst will support key digital initiatives within the group/division that drive new revenue growth and improve operational efficiencies. This role is a multidimensional position covering technology, people, process, and data strategies for the organization. This role will actively participate in divisional and group implementations covering Enterprise Data Platform, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Data Science projects. The candidate ensures data related technical design, policies, procedures, and processes are in place to address complex business needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Data Management and Analysis
- Develop, implement, and maintain data interfaces, including query tools, data collection systems, data analytics, data modeling tools, and other strategies that optimize data usage, statistical efficiency, and quality.
- Lead data mapping efforts from existing systems to new solutions.
- Identify and define opportunities to improve data products, reporting, and metrics to add new value and insight for the business.
Business and Technical Integration
- Collaborate with functions and IT to capture business requirements and translate them into technical needs. Participate in end-to-end process mapping, aligning business strategy with systems strategy and architecture.
- Lead and provide guidance during design and requirements definition phases to make data-based decisions on functionality and key design elements.
- Participate in all development, testing, and production project phases ensuring successful implementation, timely delivery, rigorous testing, and smooth deployment of solutions while addressing any issues that arise.
Risk Management and Communication
- Handle risks efficiently, identify potential problems and gaps early, and assist in resolving or raising issues as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with various collaborators at different levels within the organization, communicating findings and making recommendations.
- Work closely with team members and management to prioritize business and information needs. Maintain data security and confidentiality in all tasks.
Qualifications:
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven ability in data engineering, analysis, or other data related fields.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of system and data architecture, design, data warehousing, data modeling and integrations.
- Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Databricks) and understanding of API management. Proficiency with databases (SQL), programming (Python, PySpark), and reporting packages (Business Objects, Power BI).
- Experience with ERP and CRM systems (SAP, Salesforce). Additional technical skills: Python, data warehousing (e.g., Databricks, Redshift), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Fabric). Knowledge in R is a plus.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Project management expertise and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and challenging objectives in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
