Job Description
Title: Data Warehouse Developer III
Location: Remote
Duration: 3-6 Months
Role Summary:
No H1B This is expected to be a short-term engagement (3-6 months for 30-40 hours a week). This position is remote, however, the candidate needs to be a CURRENT Wisconsin resident. Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Data Warehouse Developer for a short-term engagement (3-6 months for 30-40 hours a week) to help with the initial setup, configuration and modeling of a data warehouse in Redshift or Snowflake and work with the internal team to do some initial data transfers to that environment.
The person in this role will work closely with the data warehouse team, BI developers, software engineers and external partners, and will report to the Director for Data Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- 50% Performing data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation.
- 30% Designing, developing, and maintaining relational databases for data storage and data mining.
- 15% Assisting internal database team with initial data transfers into new warehouse.
- 5% Seeking continuous improvement in performance of data warehouse and ensuring security of data.
Requirements
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience in multi-system data integration.
- Experience with data integration through extract, transform, load (ETL) & ELT patterns.
- Experience with data modeling and relational database design.
- Experience with data warehouse development, maintenance, and auditing/logging.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience with enterprise data integration tools (e.g., Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) Data Integration, Informatica PowerCenter), preferably IICS Data Integration.
- Experience with structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with cloud data storage (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
- Experience with data virtualization platforms (e.g., Denodo).
- Clear & effective written and verbal communication.
Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
