Role: MuleSoft Architect with Azure Cloud Migration exp

Location: NYC, NY Hybrid role

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled MuleSoft Architect with deep expertise in Azure Cloud Migration to design, develop, and implement integration solutions as part of a large-scale cloud transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API-led architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and end-to-end migration strategies to Azure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in integration projects
  • 3+ years as a MuleSoft Architect
  • Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Exchange
  • Deep understanding of Azure services such as Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, and App Services
  • Experience in migrating on-prem or legacy systems to Azure cloud
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and REST/SOAP APIs
  • Proficient in RAML/OAS, DataWeave, MUnit, and Mule 4
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • MuleSoft Certification(s) preferred (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, Platform Architect)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • Define and document API strategies following API-led connectivity
  • Drive enterprise-level Azure cloud migration, focusing on integration and data flow modernization
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Develop reusable, scalable, and secure APIs to support various business functions
  • Work with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies on Azure
  • Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and performance standards
  • Mentor developers and support integration best practices
  • Provide architecture assessments and recommendations for new and existing integration solutions

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Agile methodologies
  • Background in data integration, ETL, or event-driven architecture
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and API security best practices (OAuth2, JWT)

Education:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
