We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Civil Engineer / Project Engineer to join our progressive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a variety of land development projects, including residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring the highest levels of quality and client satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed designs and manage a range of civil engineering projects including residential and commercial land development, highway design, and earthwork quantity takeoffs.
- Utilize advanced design software including Civil 3D and AutoCAD to create and modify 3D designs for civil engineering projects.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and design statements, explaining project details to stakeholders and clients.
- Manage project resources and coordinate with various teams to ensure project timelines, budgets, and specifications are met.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals on project design and implementation.
- Provide technical advice to project team members and mentor junior engineers.
- Ensure all project work is carried out in line with company procedures and adheres to professional and quality standards.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in land development and highway design.
- Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Proven experience in managing residential and commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of earthwork quantity takeoffs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects from initiation to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- A strong commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with industry advancements.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
