Leading the future in luxury electric and mobility

At Lucid, we set out to introduce the most captivating, luxury electric vehicles that elevate the human experience and transcend the perceived limitations of space, performance, and intelligence. Vehicles that are intuitive, liberating, and designed for the future of mobility.

We plan to lead in this new era of luxury electric by returning to the fundamentals of great design - where every decision we make is in service of the individual and environment. Because when you are no longer bound by convention, you are free to define your own experience.

Come work alongside some of the most accomplished minds in the industry. Beyond providing competitive salaries, we're providing a community for innovators who want to make an immediate and significant impact. If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.

We are currently seeking to add an NVH Technical Specialist engineer with multi-system test and development experience to our staff. Candidates are expected to be experienced in several areas of vehicle NVH such as road noise, wind noise, powertrain NVH and vehicle sub-systems such as HVAC ancillaries, and acoustic package optimization, with a focus in the area of diagnosing and correcting noise and vibration issues stemming from any one of these systems. They are also expected to be strong self-starters, team collaborators, excellent problem solvers, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with members of NVH team to set targets and establish test and analysis methodologies, both at the component level and the vehicle level.
  • Work on multiple smaller projects with other NVH team members as the need for problem solving on the hardware requires
  • Work with other engineering teams (e.g., Chassis, Body, Exteriors, Interiors) to review targets and guide design changes to benefit NVH performance. Must have ability to influence design based on engineering principles.
  • Work with members of the team to create test plans to maximize knowledge with tight timelines and less resources than found at traditional OEMs.
  • Perform testing to assess and, if necessary, improve NVH performance, both at the vehicle and component level.
  • Deliver world-class NVH performance while balancing aggressive cost and mass targets.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent communicator, collaborator, team player, and problem solver.
  • Should have worked previously on full vehicle programs - Electric Vehicle experience is preferred
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, thrive, and chart your own path in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of NVH principles. No exceptions.
  • Previous experience taking a vehicle from concept to production.
  • Familiarity with airborne noise test and evaluation methodologies, e.g., leakage testing, transfer path analysis, absorption coefficient and sound transmission loss testing, etc.
  • Familiarity with specifying, testing and validating interior trim for NVH performance, both at the component level and the vehicle level. Knowledge of soft trim material property testing a plus.
  • Proficiency with standard NVH tools such as accelerometers, microphones, modal hammers, etc. Familiarity with LMS Test Lab a plus.
  • Generally, BS in Engineering or MS in Engineering with 8-10 years' experience.
